How the Advancing Healthcare
Awards celebrate the work of
allied health professionals and
healthcare scientists.
PUBLISHED SIX TIMES A YEAR
Perfect timing
As we celebrate the Awards 20th anniversary,
Chamberlain Dunn also celebrate being finalists
in the awards world own awards, the Awards
Awards. Yes, really! It is in the category of the best
longstanding award – very appropriate. So we
have our own nail-biting moment at the end of
June.
Our biggest-ever celebration at the Royal Garden
Hotel in London brings together our finalists,
representatives of our sponsors and supporters,
and guests from throughout the health and social
care world. We are here to shine a spotlight on the
work of healthcare scientists and AHPs, whose
contribution to healthcare is so often overlooked.
The mood is set by the jazz group from the Blue
Light Symphony Orchestra for their music during
the drinks reception and after party. The orchestra,
a charity, is the UK’s only orchestra for everyone
working in the emergency services. See page 6 on
how to donate: the orchestra has plans for a Music
Week next year, and to expand throughout the UK.
And the atmosphere is much enlivened by Viva
Acapella who open the ceremony with two
songs. They are themselves an award-winning
cappella group based in Kent, with national and
international acclaim.
